Owner and manager of technology-related properties, Digital Realty Trust (digitalrealtytrust.com), announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Ted Martin its director of operations. In this role, Martin will manage all facets of Digital Realty's critical facility operations, including maintenance procedures, security and customer service.

Martin brings to the company nineteen years of data center operations and management experience, including such areas as preventive/predictive maintenance, energy management systems, electrical infrastructure and HVAC distribution systems in mission critical data center environments.

Martin previously served as a regional manager for critical facilities engineering at Plano, Texas-based EDS, where he managed the maintenance, upgrades and operations of all mission critical data centers.
