Dot Hill Storage Gets Intel Credentials PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 17 May 2005
Dot Hill (dothill.com) announced on Tuesday that it has qualified its SANnet II storage systems and SANscape storage management software on Intel Corporation's carrier-grade server products.

This will provide telecommunications customers with combined Network Equipment Building System level 3 certified solutions and, enable OEM customers and channel partners to bring pre-qualified solutions to market efficiently and in less time. The operating systems tested included Red Hat Linux, Novell SUSE Linux, Microsoft Windows and MontaVista Linux.

In other news, Dot Hill announced it has joined the Intel Enterprise Server Acceleration Alliance program, providing Intel-based server and ESAA member OEMs a channel for offering qualified Telco storage solutions. ESAA provides OEMs with timely and cost-effective server platform solution "recipes," based on independent vendor components that are validated to work with Intel-based servers.

"The Intel ESAA program presents us with a significant opportunity to broaden our exposure to both OEM customers and channel partners," says Phil Davis, Dot Hill's senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. "As this is the first NEBS storage device certified with the Intel ESAA program, the focus will be on carrier-class solutions targeted at the telecommunications sector, with the opportunity to expand into broader solution offerings in the future."
