Domain name registrar eNom ( enom.com) and Employ Media announced on Thursday that eNom is now offering .jobs domain registrations, making the company the largest domain registrar to offer the .jobs domain.
Created through an alliance between Employ Media, the Society for Human Resource Management, and Verisign, .jobs will be a sponsored top level domain specific to people who work in areas of human resources, such as recruitment.
Organizations will need to verify that they are legitimate employers to receive .jobs domains. The .jobs TLD will enable companies to place special recruitment sites at the .jobs domains of their Web sites.
"We at eNom are excited to be the largest registrar to offer the .jobs TLD," says Steve Brown, director of product management at eNom. "Our large enterprise clients will find this offering to be an excellent addition to our already strong corporate domain management system."
