Dedicated Web hosting specialist Fastservers.net (fastservers.net) announced on Monday that it had launched "Name Your Price," a new dedicated server purchase program.

Through the program, prospective customers can place bids on dedicated hosting services, selecting from overstocked and refurbished dedicated servers. Customers can also specify exact configurations and monthly fees.

Fastservers.net says it has sold 200 servers through online auctions. The new program does not replace online auctioning of servers, but will give customers a second purchasing option, particularly those with a limited budget.

"We are excited to bring a new and innovative way to purchase dedicated servers, and the Name Your Price program allows us to streamline the process of selling our overstocked servers and provides a way to have premium service for a lower price," says Aaron Phillips, vice president of FastServers.Net.

Currently, 18 servers are available for purchase. The purchase program is available at fastservers.net/offers.
