Search giant Google ( google.com) said on Tuesday that it had dropped the price for its recently acquired Urchin on Demand Web analytics software from $495 to $195 per month.
Google says the new price includes report profiles for up to 50 individual Web sites, up from Urchin's offer of one, and includes up to 100,000 page views per month. An additional one million page views are available for an extra $99 per month.
A new feature is the ability to import pay-click costs directly from Google Adwords accounts, the first integration of Google's services with the Urchin platform. Google says this will enable users to more easily evaluate the return on investment of their online advertising campaigns.
Version 6.1.1 of Urchin in Demand was released earlier this year. The software is available as a hosted service or separate software product. Many users of the technology however, have access to the technology through their Web hosting providers free of charge.
