ISPcon (ispcon.com) said this week that several new speakers and educational sessions would be added to the agenda for the upcoming conference to be held May 24 to May 26 in Baltimore, Maryland. Topics to be addressed include open source solutions for voice over IP, IP-PBX systems such as Asterisk, SOHO and SME systems and services, security and routing tools, anti-spam and email concerns, and Web hosting virtualization infrastructure.
The founders of Openopenhosting.com), CEO Scott Mendenhall and CTO Grisha Trubetskoy, will discuss the technical and business challenges of being the first service provider to implement a utility pricing model for hosting. Other participants and speakers include Gregory Boehnlein, vice president of N2Net; Sean Reifschneider, member of technical staff at tummy.com; Ivan Kohler, owner of Freeside ISP Billing; Brian Capouch, chair of the department of computer science at Saint Joseph's College; Doug Hass, chief operations officer of ImageStream; and John Todd, chief technical officer of VoIP Inc. "Increasing our coverage of open source solutions makes perfect sense," says Jon Price, managing director of ISPCON. "It's our job to find experts who can demonstrate how to run and operate better service businesses while providing forums for users to gather and share expertise with our open source communications exchange forums. We're delighted to have such an excellent gathering of specialized expertise in one place at one time."
