Web hosting provider Verio (verio.com) announced this week that it had released several new operating system management services to help enterprise customers reduce the cost of IT housekeeping tasks.

Robert Steggles, director of product management for Verio, says that with the rise of attacks on the Internet and stricter regulation and compliance guidelines, IT departments are faced with a growing administrative burden. Verio says it has introduced the new services to address these issues.

The new services include a patch management service, a server snapshot image service, and a system log archiving and analysis service. Verio says they will improve security, business continuity, compliance and capacity planning for enterprise customers.

The services are covered by the Verio modular hosting solutions service level agreement and can be purchased individually or in bundled packages.
