Antivirus software developer Central Command (centralcommand.com) announced late last week that it had upgraded antivirus, anti-spam and spyware protection for its Vexira Antivirus for Mail server solution. The company says the new security suite increases the overall protection capabilities of Vexira on Linux-based mail servers. The solution can be integrated with email systems or act as its own SMTP relay server, shielding the email server itself from attack. Central Command says the solution is designed for email service providers and enterprise requiring extended service and security levels. Vexira comes with 350 configurable options. Pricing starts at $299.95 for a single-domain, single-server license. "Vexira is widely accepted as a leading antivirus, anti-spam and anti-spyware solution for high volume mail infrastructures utilizing Linux and other operating systems," says Keith A. Peer, CEO of Central Command. "It is specifically developed to withstand the demanding nature of email systems that are under constant attack from viruses and spam. We have collected and analyzed the feature requests from our customers and responded with solutions that meet and exceed their expectations."
