Web hosting provider XO Communications (xo.com) announced on Monday that its small and medium sized business hosting brand, Concentric (concentric.com), is holding a Flash design contest for emerging designers.

The contest invites designers to submit short, fun, and professional Flash animation designs that depict the Concentric clustered hosting message of "Don't Compromise." The company will award a $2,500 first prize, a $500 second prize, and 10 third-place prizes of a year's Web hosting.

"Concentric wants to engage the multimedia designer and developer market and what better way to do so then to give them the leeway to put their creative juices to work and in turn, give them an opportunity to win a variety of prizes," says Barbara Branaman, vice president and general manager of XO's hosting business unit.
