Dock.net, one of Southern California's oldest independent ISPs announced today that they have launched Voice over IP (VoIP), adding to the company's long list of business-oriented Internet services, which also include low-cost static IP DSL, inexpensive T1s, Web hosting, and server collocation.
"We have waited," says company President, Bill Harrel, "for VoIP to mature before venturing into this next logical step for our company. With the latest breakthroughs in VoIP technology, call quality and reliability of service are finally at a level we can comfortably offer to our customers. We are always happy when we can offer alternatives to the telephone company mega monopolies' red tape, high costs, and customer no service."
dock.net VoIP provides an alternative to expensive telephone company phone services. dock.net can actually replace SBC or Verizon lines for a fraction of the cost. For example, businesses can get a phone line, all the features, such as call waiting, caller ID, voicemail, etc., and unlimited local and long distance calling for as little as $40.00 per month ($20 residential). Unlimited VoIP services cost even less when the customer has dock.net DSL or some other type of dock.net broadband. The company's "DSL+ VoIP" product provides broadband, phone service and unlimited long distance starting at $59 per month. There are also multiple line discounts.
dock.net's VoIP services also include free E911 and 411 listings, as well as the ability to roam with your VoIP phone number to any location in the world where there is a broadband Internet connection.
"Telecommunication charges," Harrel says, "are a huge expense for most companies. Our Voice over IP products are designed to help businesses get control of this unruly drain on cash flow."
